Space Enigma Slot Review
Space Enigma is a slot game developed by Microgaming that transports players into outer space. This is obviously Microgaming’s version of the hugely popular Starburst slot game from NetEnt, but does it steal Starburst’s crown?
The graphics are fantastic, but this is a very simple slot game with just a wild and respins feature on offer. It won’t be for everyone but many players are sure to give it a go. Carry on reading the rest of our Space Enigma review below if you would like to learn more about this slot game before placing a bet and whether or not it really is out of this world.
How to Play
Space Enigma is a simple slot that you can set up and start spinning its reels within a matter of seconds. All you have to do is set your bet per spin and every player can enjoy playing this game as bets per spin start from as little 10p and rise to £100. You can see your balance in under the reels in the left hand corner, while your bet is in the right hand corner. Click on the stack of coins in the centre to set your bet using the click wheel. There is the option to use the autoplay feature which will allow you to set your bet and the number of spins that you want, then sit back and relax as you watch the reels spin. You can set spins from 5 to 100 spins. Finally, you can make your gameplay even faster by using the max bet function.
The symbols on the reels of this game are:
- Green Gem
- Blue Gem
- Pink Gem
- Purple Gem
- Yellow Gem
The multi-coloured star is the wild symbol.
The yellow gem is the highest value symbol on the reels and will award you 50x your stake. If you manage to get an entire screen filled with yellow gems, you can get a massive 1000x your stake in one spin.
Space Enigma is a simple slot game that does not offer much in the way of bonus features. There is a wild symbol and a respins feature, but no other special features are present.
The wild symbol is the multi-coloured star gem and this will land on your second, third and fourth reels. As the wild, it will replace other symbols on your reels to form new winning combinations and create big cash prizes.
The only other feature in Space Enigma is the respins. If the multi-coloured star wild lands on any of the centre reels, it will then expand to cover the full reels. A respin will then be triggered with the expanded wild locked in place. Keep your fingers crossed that more wilds land on the reels during the respin as these will also expand and you will be awarded another respin.
Graphics and Sounds
Space Enigma is a futuristic slot game that will transport players into space. This is a game that you are definitely going to find familiar if you have played the famous Starburst slot game from NetEnt as this game is extremely similar in its design. Behind the transparent reels is a colourful space background mixed with pinks, purples and blues, plus you will catch a glimpse of the twinkling stars. On the transparent reels, you will find lots of colourful gemstone symbols. Some of the coloured gemstones you will find include pink, purple, green and blue. This is quite a simple slot game design, although the graphics are all of a very high-quality. A mysterious soundtrack plays in the background as you spin the reels which livens up during the respins.
Space Enigma is a nice slot game from Microgaming that is clearly trying to take on the fame and popularity of NetEnt’s Starburst. It has fantastic, high-quality graphics but the game does severely lack in bonus features and many players will not find it as entertaining as many other slot game options on the market. If you enjoy spinning the reels of Starburst but want a change, then this could be a great option for you, however, it is unlikely Space Enigma is going to overtake Starburst in the popularity stakes.
