Dazzletag Retires Its Flagship Brand, Bingocams

There’s a saying that we’re not particularly fond of which is “All good things must come to an end.” This phrase is particularly poignant this month as we’re about to lose one of the leading lights in the online bingo industry following an announcement by Dazzletag Entertainment that Bingocams will be closing at the end of March.

Why is Bingocams closing?

Many members of the site (but not those who had chosen to opt out of communications from the brand) were informed of the impending closure at the end of last month. In the email, the Bingocams team explained that “after 12 years of providing a fun and exciting online bingo experience”, it would be closing down the site “with a very heavy heart”. It went on to thank the players for their loyalty and support and apologised for any disappointment and inconvenience it might cause. It also invited players to take part in one final big game, which is due to be held on the day that Bingocams retires.

Other reasons that the operator and owner of the site (Dazzletag Entertainment Limited) has given for closing its flagship brand are the age of the online bingo system, which makes it hard to “enhance your bingo experience”.

When is it closing?

Bingocams will officially close on Friday, 31st March 2023.

What makes Bingocams so special?

Back when it first launched in 2011, Bingocams used ground-breaking proprietary bingo software to deliver an exclusive suite of bingo rooms. Something that had never been done at the time was live bingo games, in which the chat hosts appeared via webcam and interacted with the players through audio and chat. It also gave players the chance to find fame and win extra prizes by turning on their own webcams to record their Live Win Moments.

Sadly, the brand has struggled to keep up with the times, and now that more cutting-edge and interactive live bingo experiences are being offered, most notably by Buzz Bingo who are leading the way with this kind of entertainment, the Bingocams concept looks dated and out-of-touch in comparison.

It has marked many milestones over the years, including 128,844 Live Win Moments, 215,715 Bouncing Bonus games, and more than 300,000 winners.

The final celebrations

On the final day of operation, Bingocams is hosting a Grand Finale for its funded players at 8 PM. There will be ÂŁ4,000 in jackpots up for grabs over 32 rounds, including a top prize of ÂŁ1,500.

Does Dazzletag have other bingo sites?

Although it runs on a newer bingo software platform powered by Pragmatic Play, Bingostars is also operated by the same company as Bingocams, and it’s one of the newest online bingo sites for UK players.

The company also has a number of slots and casino sites on its licence, including Casushi, Peachy Games and Play Sunny.
