Bingo Blitz – the free mobile bingo game by Playtika that has attracted fans from all across the world – has enlisted the help of another A-lister for its latest ad campaign. The game’s creator, Playtika, has signed Drew Barrymore on a one-year contract and she’s even been given her own in-game avatar that will appear alongside the Bingo Blitz’s star, Blitzy.
More about that deal
The last celebrity to feature in a Bingo Blitz ad campaign was the American singer, Meghan Trainor who reworked her 2014 hit song, “All About That Bass” to promote the game under the new title, “All About That Game”.
Now, it’s the turn of Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore who will be popping up in-game to say hello to players while also giving out tips and prizes through an exciting new feature called the “Drew BingoMore Show”. Drew’s avatar is incredibly lifelike, although it has been created in the typical cartoon style that fans of the game are familiar with.
As well as appearing in the game itself, Drew will also be starring in the latest Bingo Blitz TV and digital commercials in The States. In addition, she will be promoting the brand via her social media accounts over the next 12 months.
While some people may be sceptical about whether celebrities really enjoy these kinds of mobile games as much as we do, it turns out that Drew Barrymore is a big bingo fan, as well as “a huge gamer”. She says that she used to go with her friends to play bingo every week and is keen to make bingo more accessible to people, which is why she’s keen to endorse the free-to-play mobile game, Bingo Blitz.
Who is Drew Barrymore?
Drew Barrymore was born in 1975 and she first found fame at the tender age of 7 when she played the role of Gertie in Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster E.T. She has since appeared in the Scream film franchise and won multiple awards for her appearances in Grey Gardens and other major movies.
