Bingo players in Leeds are in for a treat as Club 3000 Bingo has announced it will be opening a new club at the end of 2024 in Hunslet.
This is a hugely exciting investment in Leeds from the largest independent bingo operator in the UK. The aim of this £3 million investment is to create a luxury bingo club where players can go and enjoy thrilling bingo games with big prizes for a small cost. Alongside providing a new entertainment hub for the community in Leeds, it will also provide a great boost to the local economy with 50 new jobs created.
Club 3000 has a reputation for building brand new halls from scratch or taking unusual spaces and making them truly exceptional bingo halls, but that might not be necessary this time. It is likely, looking at the Gambling Premises License Applications, that they are taking the site that previously housed a Mecca Bingo Hall, but which closed in February 2023 and turning it into one of their state-of-the-art bingo destinations.
Club 3000 is quickly garnering a fantastic reputation for itself as an independent bingo operator. It currently runs 24 clubs across the UK, which will become 25 when the new Leeds club is opened. Its most recent new venue opening was in Blackpool which launched in July 2023. It has the world record for a single pay out of £1.2 million and its annual average pay out to winners is an incredible £81 million.
Club 3000 was founded by Brian Fraser back in 2006 and is still a family run business. The founder had to say of this new club that they were ‘thrilled to expand’ in Leeds and that they promise it will be ‘something special for both regular bingo lovers and new customers alike.’
