Twitch Updates Guidelines to Allow Licenced Gambling Streams

Twitch has announced that it will be updating its guidelines to allow licenced gambling streams on the platform, but unregulated operators will be banned.

In September 2022, the company announced that it would be updating its community guidelines to prohibit streamers from showing or advertising unlicensed casino companies. This came into effect on the 18th October 2022.

However, many were unsure if this ban would also cover licenced casinos. Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy, has explained the Twitch policy in more detail and has said that they have no problem with licensed casinos but that they would be cracking down on unregulated operators.

This crackdown came after a Bloomberg article was written detailing how unregulated operators were using Twitch to advertise their sites and violating community guidelines.

Players can now watch all of their favourite gambling streamers as they gamble at safe and licensed online casino sites.
