One of the world leaders in gaming technology, Aristocrat, has announced that it has acquired the iGaming solution provider, NeoGames. This huge deal cost Aristocrat $1.2 billion and the company plan to integrate NeoGames gaming technology into products it already offers.
The NeoGames and Aristocrat Deal
Aristocrat Leisure Limited is planning to use NeoGames to improve its market appeal across different jurisdictions. Luckily for the brand, it had a fantastic year financially between 2022 and 2023, and so this has put it in an excellent place to make more strategic acquisitions.
This new deal has been a while in the making as Aristocrat Leisure had its creditworthiness evaluated by Fitch Ratings at the start of the year. It found that this year was the perfect time to make purchases and so the first on the list is NeoGames.
No firm details about this $1.2 billion deal have been released, but what we do know is that it will be completed with an ASX filing. Aristocrat will own 100% of NeoGames and the $1.2 billion total comes in at $29.50 per share.
Who Are NeoGames?
NeoGames was created over 17 years ago and offers premium iLottery games, best in-class platforms and a bespoke services suite. The company purchased the Aspire Global group of companies in 2022 and it offers solutions for iLottery, iGaming and sports betting.
Brands under the NeoGames group of companies include Aspire Global, BtoBet and PariPlay.
The Future of Aristocrat
Aristocrat has purchased NeoGames in the hope of extending its market reach, particularly in the USA market. The group wants to create long-term value for its shareholders and the acquisition of NeoGames is part of this growth strategy. What’s more, the group also wants to expand its reach in the European market with this new cutting-edge proprietary technology that it will now get access to.
NeoGames has proven that it not only excels in iGaming and sports betting but also in the area of iGaming lottery. The main area that has interested Aristocrat with NeoGames is its Real Money Gaming (RMG) solutions which is known to be a leader in the industry. By integrating this into Aristocrat’s offerings, they will be able to scale faster and reduce the need for long-term expenses.
