If you have seen any of our Dabbing Out series on WhichBingo about the alternative bingo scene you will know the name Bongo’s Bingo as one of the biggest and best.
The shows have proven popular globally, but the Edinburgh Fringe is special for so many reasons and this year Bongo’s Bingo gets to take its show there.

There will be five very special Bongo’s Bingo shows and you can catch them at the Edinburgh O2 academy. The first show will be on the evening of 5th August, then 12th and 19th for matinee and evening shows.
These shows are running with a ‘Night At The Movies’ theme, and customers are encouraged to go all out and dress up as their favourite movie stars or characters – the more outrageous the better. The show will be punctuated with music from all the best film soundtracks.
What is Bongo’s Bingo?
The definition of the shows is laid out as the ‘original bingo rave phenomenon’. It brings this to live by running a traditional 90 ball bingo game within a loud club setting, with lots of booze, dancing and great music. The prizes are out of the ordinary, but then so is the whole event.
You won’t find a bingo event like this at your local bingo hall and to say it brings bingo into the 21st century is an understatement.
Jonny Bongo, Bongo’s co-founder, commented: “There’s no bigger festival on Earth than The Fringe which takes over the city in the most spectacular of ways, and we’re proud to have these dates in Edinburgh during this time. Two are our Night At The Movies themed parties which will be extra special.” To book tickets visit the Bongo’s Bingo website
