For new players, bgo Bingo is one of the most welcoming sites that we know, as the games and rooms are all laid out and explained very clearly, so that you always feel you’re being looked after. There is also the added attraction that you can access the casino and live dealer sites as well.
List in bullet format:
The new player offer at bgo Bingo UK gives you a £20 bonus for bingo play. To claim your bonus, sign up and make a first deposit of £10 with the bonus code BINGO (make sure you click Accept when prompted), and your £20 bonus will be credited to your bonus account.
The bonus can only be used for purchasing bingo tickets and comes with a 4x wagering requirement. This means you need to spend £80 on bingo tickets before you can cash out any of the bonus or winnings from it.
You have 3 days in which to clear the bonus, and If you withdraw cash from your real money account before you meet the playthrough, you forfeit any remaining bonus and bonus winnings. Once you have met the wagering requirement, funds in your bonus account are transferred to your real money account and can be withdrawn or used to continue playing.
This is a straightforward signup deal, aimed solely at bingo players, and the requirements in terms of clearing the bonus, etc., are uncomplicated. The value on offer isn’t exceptional, but there is nevertheless a little bit of value in it. As an incentive for new players to explore the site, it does the job well, and while we aren’t especially excited by the offer, we don’t think it’s a bad deal either.
*18+. New customers only. Use code BINGO. £20 in Bingo Bonus for first deposit of £10. Available for purchasing Bingo tickets only. 3-day expiry on the Bingo Bonus. 4x wagering on Bonus. Bonus can’t be withdrawn. £10 min deposit + 2.5% fee (min 50p). Not available using Neteller or Skrill. Cash balance withdrawable anytime + £2.50 fee. Full T&Cs apply.
If you like sweet rewards, then you’ll love the Candy Club, the loyalty programme at bgo Bingo. There are five tiers of membership (Chocolate, Toffee, Nougat, Caramel and Candy), and you earn Candy Club Points every time you play to progress through the levels. Your membership status is assessed on the first of each month, and this determines the rate at which you earn points when you play, as well as the rate of redemption when you cash them in (for either bingo credits or all-game credits). You also get access to each level’s own unique bingo room, where a range of jackpot prizes are on offer.
bgo Bingo games run on Playtech Virtue Fusion software, meaning you can play some of the biggest and most exciting games around. 90 ball and 75 ball bingo games are on offer, including progressive jackpot games with potentially huge payouts.
In addition to the exclusive Candy Club rooms, there are 13 different bingo rooms to choose from, offering a variety of ticket prices and opening times (the majority are in play 24/7). You can play in free bingo rooms (Beginner’s Luck and Extra Bingo), rooms with a set ticket price (like Golden Galaxy) or choose from rooms with tickets available at a range of prices.
Likewise, you can opt for games with set prizes, or progressive jackpot bingo games where the size of the payouts depends on how many tickets have been bought in a particular game. These include big money networked games that feature players at multiple bingo sites on the Playtech platform.
You can also buy tickets in advance for scheduled games, which means that even if you aren’t logged in, you are still in amongst the action and in the running for payouts and prizes.
When you’re playing at bgo Bingo, you also have access to a great range of slots, scratch cards and casino games. You can click on the icons of the popular games that appear on your bingo page or go to the home page and click the Casino or Live Casino tabs.
Choose from a range of slots by a variety of different producers, such as Playtech, NetEnt and IGT, including big money progressive jackpot slots like Mega Fortune. There’s also a good selection of table and card games, or you can play in the live casino where games are streamed in real time HD to your phone or laptop.
The payment methods that bgo Bingo UK players can use include PayPal, Skrill and Neteller, alongside debit and credit cards. The minimum deposit amount is £10, and for deposits less than £500, a 2.5% fee will be charged (the minimum fee is 50p). Deposits are credited instantly to your account, which can be operated in GBP.
When you make a withdrawal request, it is considered to be pending for a period of up to 24 hours, during which time you are still able to cancel. Once this period has ended, funds are released and should be available in your PayPal, Skrill or Neteller account instantly (it can take a further 3 to 5 working days for withdrawals to cards to clear). There is no minimum withdrawal amount, but it should be noted that there is a £2.50 charge on all withdrawals.
The banking here presents players with a dilemma. No-one likes paying fees for depositing or withdrawing their own money, but on the other hand the withdrawal times do tend to be faster than at many other sites (on average). Fee-free or quick, which do you prefer? Your answer to this will determine what you think about the banking services here.
bgo Bingo has a great reputation for being a very friendly site. For starters, it provides players with more information on its games than many other sites do, and so straight away you can feel confident that you know what’s on offer. The design style and colours add to this, from the first time you click through to the bingo page, it feels welcoming.
The chat hosts here also do a good job, and you know in advance when they will be running chat games, so if this is an important part of your bingo experience, it helps you to better plan your playing schedule. The timetable of games (along with the ticket prices and jackpots) is also very clear and easily accessible, as are the FAQ pages.
When it comes to social media, there is no Facebook page dedicated to bingo but there is a very active general bgo page (@bgo) that caters for players at all of its sites. You can use Facebook Messenger to contact customer support, and there’s lots of posts about competitions, prizes, new game releases and much more. It’s definitely worth liking and following the Facebook page just for the competitions, as there are some fantastic prizes to be won.
The bgo Bingo app not only gives you access to the full range of bingo rooms and progressive jackpot games, but also to the casino games as well, so you have a full suite of gaming options in your hand at all times.
You can download the free app for Apple iPhone and iPad (iOS 9.0+) from the App Store (search for ‘bgo – Casino, Slots, Jackpots’), or go to Google Play for the app for Android phones and tablets (4.2+) and search for ‘bgo – slots, live casino, roulette and bingo!’ Alternatively, if you just want to play bingo, or are using a phone on another operating system, go to the bgo Bingo mobile site in the browser of your device.
The UI and functionality of the mobile site are excellent, with one of the clearest and easiest to follow bingo schedule pages we’ve seen. When you are actually in the game on your mobile or tablet, the screen is set up so that both the numbers being called, and your tickets are very clear.
In regard to how the app stacks up against playing at the desktop site, in our view you lose nothing by playing on a smaller screen, so if you haven’t tried mobile bingo before, this is the place to do it.
We are fans of just about everything they do here. The Playtech software is first-rate, the layout and design of the site (both desktop and mobile) is user friendly and welcoming, while the choice of games and ticket prices means there’s something for everyone.
The range of chat games, side games and slots also give you plenty of additional gaming options, so you have a complete package all at the one site.
Also, the way in which bgo engages with players, particularly on Facebook, creates a positive feel, and the customer service team has, in our experience, always been helpful.
The only issue we have regards banking. The site tells us that the charges made for deposits and withdrawals are a tax offset fee, and it can be argued that the site does go some way towards making up for this by having quicker (on average) withdrawal times than other sites. However, we would, of course, prefer all banking to be free. For some players, this will be enough to put them off, while others might consider it a price worth paying.
In the end, we think that the positives here far outweigh this one negative, so we are going to go with a final score of the maximum 5 stars out of 5.
Are you as keen on playing here as we are, or do you think we have been too lavish in our praise? Feel free to let us know in the comments, or if you want to say more, we’d welcome you writing your own bgo Bingo review.
